Our Initiatives

DAWG FOR A DAY:

We know planning for college and the future can be stressful. With the Dawg for a Day program, seniors will be able to experience life as a college student and explore majors in order to prepare for life after high school.

BETTER THE BEARCATS:

Ruston High should represent the interests of all our students! Better the Bearcats, a google form for students, will allow everyone to have a voice and provide input for how to improve the school.

STUDENT-LED ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Since Mr. Gressett is leaving us, announcements just won’t be the same. Allowing students to lead announcements going forward will give the student body a chance to represent themselves!

FUN FRIDAY:

After football season is over, Fridays just aren’t the same. We will bring back the fun of Bearcat Fridays with music, student performances, and fun treats in the boulevard!

VALENTINE’S DAY:

We will be introducing the chance to deliver candygrams and flowers for valentines so you can show a special bearcat just how much they mean to you!

MARCH MADNESS:

We know Ruston loves competition, so we will be introducing a March Madness competition between all advisory classes. Plan your bracket and get a chance to win big!

FIELD DAY:

The end of school can be rough for everyone. So, we’re bringing back field day, complete with all the games you loved as a kid, as an end of year incentive!
